We now know who attacked Bayley backstage, resulting in her removal from WWE WrestleMania 41 last weekend.
Bayley was set to team with Lyra Valkyria to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Becky Lynch ended up filling in for Bayley, winning the title alongside Valkyria, but then dropping the belts straight back to Morgan and Rodriguez on Raw the next night.
After that loss, Lynch attacked Valkyria effectively turning heel.
This week, a week after the heel turn, Lynch appeared on WWE Raw and addressed her actions.
Lynch revealed that it was indeed her who attacked Bayley backstage before WrestleMania in the first place.
Lynch said she did it because she was sick of seeing Bayley being nice to everyone and then complaining about not being a bigger star.
Then, Lynch turned her attention to Valkyria, and said “the friend of my enemy is my enemy”, criticizing Valkyria for teaming up with Bayley.
Valkyria came out to confront Lynch, resulting in a challenge for Valkyria’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Backlash on May 10.
Valkyria said she’s going to become a better person than Lynch, and she already knows she’s a better wrestler than Lynch is.
All in all, it appears Valkyria defending her IC Title against Becky Lynch is set for Backlash.
