The person who was running last night’s first-ever WWE x AAA Worlds Collide premium live event has now been revealed.
WWE announced the purchase of Mexican Lucha Libre promotion AAA back on night one of WrestleMania 41, with a Worlds Collide event between the two companies announced for Los Angeles on June 7.
The show took place last night, with the main event seeing AAA’s El Hijo del Vikingo defend his AAA Mega Championship against WWE’s Chad Gable.
The show was well received by fans online, and with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque preparing for the Money In The Bank event, he wasn’t the person in charge of the show.
Per PWInsider, it was Jeremy Borash who was in charge of all aspects of the Worlds Collide broadcast last night.
Borash was announced as one of the names expected to head up creative for AAA following the WWE acquisition.
One of the stars of Worlds Collide was AAA’s Mr. Iguana, and he has now commented on the positive reaction from fans on the show last night.
