Here’s an update on AEW’s Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, following his recent absence from AEW TV.
Roberts notably didn’t accompany Lance Archer to ring for the main event of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, which saw Archer team with Chris Jericho to face off against Jon Moxley & Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roberts is currently out of action due to bladder surgery. There is currently no word on a timetable for his return.
Last month Roberts shot down rumors that he was in bad health, noting that he intends to be around for a long time.
He recently expressed his frustrations with Lance Archer’s AEW booking. Archer is slated to compete in this year’s NJPW G1 Climax tournament.
The blocks for the round robin tournament have now been revealed, which you can check out right here.
Archer’s last AEW victory came during an episode of AEW Dark earlier this month.
