It was reported earlier that Ric Flair had been granted his release from WWE as per his request, and a new report indicates why he wanted out.
As per Fightful Select, Ric Flair was frustrated with certain booking decisions and directly voiced this to Vince McMahon while requesting his release.
There’s no word on the exact booking decisions he wasn’t happy with, but the report notes they were “fairly recent”.
Flair was last on WWE TV in the pre-WrestleMania storyline with his daughter Charlotte and Lacey Evans before Evans announced she was legitimately pregnant.
He has spoken in public interviews about the fact he didn’t like that storyline but did it for the sake of being professional.
