Ospreay made his first appearance for All Elite Wrestling on the June 8 edition of Dynamite with fellow United Empire members Aaron Henare and Aussie Open to jump Trent Baretta and ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR.
On last Friday’s Rampage, The United Empire came up short against Trent and FTR in trios action.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have been vocal about their disdain for The United Empire after Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan interfered in their ROH World Tag Team Titles defense against Roppongi Vice on the May 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Cobb and O-Khan defeated Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale to win the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships at NJPW Dominion this past Sunday.
Also, Will Ospreay beat SANADA to win the vacant IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at the same event.
This bout between Ospreay and Harwood on Dynamite will be further buildup for the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event.
