An update has emerged on AEW star Will Ospreay following speculation that he suffered a legitimate injury during his most recent match.
Ospreay was in action on the June 11 Summer Blockbuster edition of AEW Dynamite, facing off against Swerve Strickland.
After the duo wrestled to a 30-minute time limit draw, the Death Riders and Young Bucks launched a post-match attack, resulting in Ospreay receiving a double superkick from the Bucks’ thumbtack covered shoes.
There had been fan speculation that Ospreay had suffered a broken nose before this point, with the British star bleeding during his match against Strickland.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Will Ospreay is said to be fine.
The report noted that he is still expected to be wrestling in the coming week.
Ospreay has recently been trying to convince Strickland to work with “Hangman” Adam Page to reclaim the AEW World Championship.
Page is set to challenge for Jon Moxley’s gold at All In Texas, earning this title shot by defeating Ospreay in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament finals at Double or Nothing.
