NJPW star Will Ospreay has shared great news regarding his father.

IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay took to social media today to share the great news that his father has beat cancer.

Ospreay wrote the following:

Kept it close to the chest as it’s a family matter.

But big smile over my face today and I wanna share it!

My dad is just beat cancer !

The NJPW star has had a busy week in the world of professional wrestling.

Coming off a win over Dax Harwood on last Wednesday’s Dynamite, Ospreay lost his Warrior Wrestling Championship on Saturday to KC Navarro and then scored a win over Nick Wayne in the main event of GCW I Never Liked You on Sunday.

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, The United Empire leader will team up with Aussie Open to face Orange Cassidy and Roppongi Vice in trios action.

This will be a preview ahead of Ospreay defending the IWGP US Title against Orange Cassidy at this Sunday’s Forbidden Door event in Chicago.
