WWE held it’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia last night (November 5), with many big matches taking place on the show.
The literal biggest match came when the Monster of all Monsters, Braun Strowman collided with the Nigerian Giant Omos in a battle of the titans.
Strowman picked up the win over Omos in the match, but the performances from both men was praised online following the bout.
Strowman took to Twitter earlier today and reacted to the praise that the match between the two big men received, taking shots at ‘floppy floppers’ in the process.
He said:
Holy hell @TheGiantOmos can you believe we got 47 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and reminded the people that no one cares about all these floppy floppers. Giants and Monster > flippy flipper bag your grocery’s at @kroger #AirportTest #SizeIsThePrize #SwoleIsTheGoal
The tweeted prompted a lot of backlash from fans taking exception to Braun using the praise for his match to put down other wrestlers in the process.
One such name was NJPW star Will Ospreay, who is well known for being a high flying wrestler, and a likely indirect target of Strowman’s tweet.
Why you so mad about making money
It’s dead funny that you actually done such a great job and yet you’re mad at other people that do the same job as you.
Relax my guy, just say you really enjoyed showing super heavyweight wrestling
Ospreay is set to defend his IWGP United States Championship against Shota Umino at the upcoming NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over event later this month.
