Will Ospreay has broken his silence after his loss at AEW Double or Nothing in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final.
The May 25 pay-per-view saw Hangman Adam Page defeat Will Ospreay in the Final, heading to All In Texas on July 12 to challenge for the AEW World Championship.
Ospreay has now broken his silence after the defeat, sending a message of support to his opponent in a tweet that read:
“Get the belt back, cowboy.”
A former AEW World Champion, Page has recently addressed a “difficult” couple of years, seeing his Double or Nothing victory as a chance to reclaim the title.
Page is set to face Jon Moxley at AEW All In Texas following Double or Nothing, with the World Champion having last defended the title against Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage match on the May 14 episode of Dynamite.
Ospreay recently revealed that Jerry Lynn was coaching him behind the scenes in AEW.
The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Final also took place at AEW Double or Nothing, with Mercedes Mone defeating Jamie Hayter.
Mone nows heads to AEW All In Texas on July 12 for the Women’s World Championship currently held by Toni Storm.
In past comments, Ospreay has shared his opinion that AEW’s stars ‘smoke’ their WWE counterparts ‘every single day of the week’.
