Major Will Ospreay AEW Match ‘100%’ Happening Soon

Will Ospreay’s second match as an AEW roster member was an emotional affair, with a post-match moment hinting at the future.

On the March 6 episode of AEW Dynamite, Ospreay faced Kyle Fletcher – you can see a video of the match below this news story.

Post-match, Bryan Danielson would make his way to the ring looking rather happy, while Ospreay looked momentarily confused.

Dynamite would go off air with the pair circling each other, and a very specific shot of the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view logo in the background.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:

“I know 100% for sure, that match is happening relatively soon.

“I have been told that it’s something Tony Khan has been wanting – it’s like the dream match of all dream matches probably for him. But this match is happening.”

With AEW Revolution marking the first match for Ospreay as an AEW roster member, the next PPV on the company’s calendar is the newly added Dynasty on April 21.

Ospreay’s match against Konosuke Takeshita was well-received backstage after AEW Revolution on March 3.

It was noted that ‘stars of the past’ who were unfamiliar with Ospreay’s work were impressed.
