After over a month on the sidelines Will Ospreay has been cleared to return to the ring.
As announced via a tweet from One Pro Wrestling, Ospreay has been deemed fit enough to compete at their 1PW All or Nothing event on April 22.
1pW’s announcement read the following:
“We have been in constant communication with @WillOspreay and can now confirm that he is cleared to compete at ALL OR NOTHING on April 22nd!”
“Will takes on Undisputed Era’s @theBobbyFish for a shot at becoming the new 1PW World Champion!”
Ospreay’s opponent Fish would then respond to the good news saying:
“Instant classic folks”
Ospreay’s time on the sidelines began on March 13, where during a New Japan World Cup match against his United Empire teammate Mark Davis Ospreay would suffer a shoulder injury.
The injury would see him pulled from the highly anticipated NJPW/Impact Multiverse United crossover show, where he was set to take on ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey in a match Bailey claimed would be the ‘greatest professional wrestling match of all time”.
Ospreay’s United Empire stable-mates Aussie Open recently claimed their second piece of NJPW tag team gold at NJPW Capitol Collision ahead of a potential AEW/NJPW crossover match with FTR.
Will Ospreay is in the running for a potential match against Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at Forbidden Door.
Elsewhere at Capitol Collision was an injury to a top NJPW star, you can find out more here.
