Will Ospreay Opponent For GCW Debut Revealed

Will Ospreay’s opponent has been announced for GCW I Never Liked You, where Ospreay will make his GCW debut.

It was announced last week that Ospreay is slated to step into a GCW ring for the first time.

The promotion has now confirmed that Ospreay will be in action against rising star Nick Wayne on June 19.

Nick Wayne was notably offered an AEW contract in February, at the age of 16. The deal means that Wayne will officially join the AEW roster following his 18th birthday. Wayne was publicly offered the contract by Darby Allin at DEFY Wrestling’s Year V event.

Ospreay recently tested positive for COVID-19, causing him to miss his scheduled IWGP US Championship match against Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestling Dontaku.

He instead will challenge for Tanahashi’s gold in a fourway bout at NJPW Capital Collision in Washington DC later this month.
