Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay recently provided a health update on his neck and back injuries.
In May, Will Ospreay was forced to vacate NJPW’s top title due to injury. In a worrying update last month, Ospreay stated that “things ain’t looking good”.
This week, Ospreay has noted that his injury treatable. Promoting his new shirt, Ospreay took to Twitter to discuss his MRI results. Announcing that he’s motivated to make a comeback, Ospreay tweeted:
“N E W – S H I R T Rebuild X Recapture. Today I was given the MRI results about my back, and although the news wasn’t the best, they did say it’s treatable. Now I’m motivated to comeback.”
After the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental championships were unified, Ospreay defeated the undisputed titleholder Kota Ibushi to become the second ever IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
At Dominion, Shingo Takagi pinned Kazuchika Okada to win the vacant title. He will defend the gold against Kota Ibushi next month at Wrestle Grand Slam in the Tokyo Dome.
