Will Ospreay ‘Screwed’ Again By NJPW Referees At Capital Collision NJPW

Will Ospreay claims that he was once again screwed by NJPW referees after last night’s Capital Collision event in Washington, D.C.

Ospreay competed in a fatal four-way match for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against champion Hiroshi Tanahashi, Bullet Club’s Juice Robinson and AEW’s Jon Moxley in the main event.

After Tanahashi delivered a High Fly Flow to Moxley through a table at ringside, it came down to Ospreay and Robinson where Juice gave Will a low blow and his new finisher after a referee distraction.

On the pinfall, Ospreay got his foot underneath the bottom rope, but the referee didn’t see and counted to three to give Juice Robinson the win and title.

This is yet another instance in which a New Japan Pro Wrestling referee slighted the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion following his controversial losses to Zack Sabre Jr. in the New Japan Cup 2022 in March and to Jon Moxley at Windy City Riot last month.

The United Empire leader took to Twitter where he wrote:

At this rate I’m gonna ask New Japan for my release and go work for pornhub.

Least there I’m meant to get screwed.

Will Ospreay’s next match in the United States will be his GCW debut in June.

You can find out his opponent for the event at this link.
