Will Ospreay Wins IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship

Will Ospreay has defeated Dragon Lee to become the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion at Dominion. Ospreay hit Lee with two hook kicks, the Hidden Blade, the Super Oscutter and the Stormbreaker to secure the victory.

This marks Ospreay’s third reign with the title. He won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament by last defeating Shingo Takagi to earn his shot at the championship. He last held the title last year when he lost it to Hiromu Takahashi at Dominion 2018.

Dragon Lee won the title from Taiji Ishimori at G1 Supercard. He retained the title against Ishimori at Wrestling Dontaku and finished in third place in the A Block in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. It was his first reign as champion.

After the match, Will Ospreay went to the commentary table and issued a challenge towards Robbie Eagles for Southern Showdown in Melbourne, Australia on June 29th. Eagles defeated Ospreay in the Best of the Super Juniors.
