Paige here, and all that stuff. Saraya debuted for AEW during last night’s (September 21) Grand Slam show from Arthur Ashe stadium, and I think it’s fair to say the fans in attendance were pretty excited.
However, the question remains as to whether Saraya will actually be able to wrestle for AEW. After all, she retired from in-ring competition several years ago, and she has never confirmed that she has been cleared to return.
So, here are the clues that we’ve seen that Saraya will indeed be a wrestler for AEW.
Firstly, her return with all the music and graphics definitely came across like the debut of a wrestler. She chased off all the heels before telling them all that this was her house and gestured to the ring. The commentators even said she could “flat out go”, which is not something you would generally say about a manager.
Furthermore, she’s been added to the roster page (roster Paige), and she’s got a win/loss record. Why would someone who isn’t going to wrestle need a win/loss record?
Nothing has been confirmed, so please do take this as our own personal speculation, but it does seem like she is back to perform in the ring once again.
