William Regal Files To Trademark Two Ring Names

William Regal has filed to trademark two ring names with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).

On February 9, Regal (real name Darren Matthews) filed applications to trademark ‘WILLIAM REGAL’ and ‘LORD STEVEN REGAL’. Regal notably began wrestling as Lord Steven Regal during his WCW days, before ‘Steven William Regal’ was later shortened to ‘William Regal’ in WWE.

Regal was released from his WWE contract last month. Since his departure, Regal has opened a Pro Wrestling Tees store. The store, and these trademarks, seem to be Regal’s first pro-wrestling ventures since leaving the company.
