While news of the release of William Regal from WWE shocked the wrestling world, one thing that was universally acknowleged is that any company would benefit from tapping into his brilliance.
It seems there is already confirmation that William Regal has no shortage of options for future endeavors, including an open invitation from IMPACT Wrestling.
On Busted Open Radio (January 13) today, Tommy Dreamer shared his thoughts on the changes at NXT and his outreach to Regal, saying:
“If you look at management, and you look at, let’s say, the New York Giants, their G.M. is retiring, and then there goes the head coach that he picked. There goes everyone associated with that person. Triple H is no longer in charge, and everyone associated with him is gone. The only guy who’s remained is Shawn (Michaels), but Shawn was a Vince guy before he was a Triple H guy. Regal, the moment I heard, I shot him a text and said, ‘If you want to be a commentator at Impact or if you want to be a General Manager figure, just let me know.’ He will have something when he chooses to.”
William Regal took to Twitter after his release to make a statement about his time with the company including expressing his gratitude for his time with WWE.
