William Regal is set to leave All Elite Wrestling and return to WWE starting in the new year.
Regal cut his final AEW promo on last week’s AEW Dynamite, where he explained why he turned on Jon Moxley at Full Gear.
Regal said that he was teaching on last lesson to the Blackpool Combat Club, to keep eyes in the back of their head.
Upon his AEW departure, he was reported to be on his way back to WWE, and there has now been an update on his status.
Per PWInsider, Regal has officially come to terms on his new deal with WWE, and is set to start in the new year.
PWInsider was told that Regal will have a Vice President position in the company upon his return, though there has been no word on what his official title or role will be.

Regal’s AEW departure came with a clause that he would not be able to appear in an on-screen role for WWE upon his return.
