WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has revealed that FOX and Netflix are interested in a reality show that would feature wives of notable wrestlers.
During a Q&A session on his ‘To Be The Man’ podcast, Flair indicated that the wives of Randy Orton (Kim Orton), Kurt Angle (Giovanna Angle), AEW’s Jake Hager (Catalina Hager) and himself (Wendy Barlow) would be attached to the project.
Discussing the project, Flair said:
“Fox and Netflix are looking at picking up the Housewives of Wrestling. She (Wendy) saw the reel yesterday. It’s Randy’s wife. It’s Kurt’s wife. It’s Wendy and it’s Jake Hager’s wife.”
Also, “She (Wendy) just got a check to write her life story with me. She’s writing a book and they gave her a hell of a bump up front.”
Wrestling-themed reality shows have proven popular in the past, with WWE Total Divas airing on E! from 2013-2019, and Total Bellas from 2016 to 2021.
There have also been several reality series focusing on specific wrestling couples, including Rhodes To The Top, which followed Cody and Brandi Rhodes in 2021, and Miz & Mrs, which has had three seasons, the most recent premiering in June 2022.
Kurt Angle recently confirmed his status for WrestleMania 39, which you can read more about right here.
