A women’s championship match could be added to the WWE Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025, alongside the Undisputed WWE Championship match.
Already announced for the upcoming PLE is a ladder match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, joining the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.
According to Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A (via wrestlingnews.co) there’s been an indication that a second women’s championship match could be added to the show.
While the match specifics are not currently locked in, WrestleVotes has been able to establish that the WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green could be defending her title, stating:
“Yeah, nothing that I have concrete. I have heard some rumblings that a secondary women’s title match may be added, maybe a Chelsea Green defense of some sort, but nothing that I can say right now is for sure on the card.”
Green became the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion at the December 14, 2024, Saturday Night’s Main Event, beating Michin in the tournament final.
She has since defended the championship against Michin on the January 10 episode of WWE SmackDown.
