AEW has announced a big women’s tag team match for the September 14 episode of AEW Dynamite.
At All Out, Toni Storm was crowned the interim AEW Women’s World Champion, defeating Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida and Jamie Hayter in a four-way match to capture the interim gold. She was victorious on AEW Dynamite three days later, defeating Penelope Ford in a championship eliminator match.
Meanwhile, there is currently trouble in paradise between Baker and Hayter, after Britt stopped Jamie from winning the match at All Out, with neither woman ultimately leaving with the belt. Britt then tried to apologise to Jamie after the show, but Jamie stormed away from Britt, telling her not to talk to her.
As tensions between the two continue to mount, Baker has found a new ally in Serena Deeb, who defeated Madison Rayne on the September 9 AEW Rampage show, and the two are now set to team up against Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida on the September 14 episode of Dynamite.
Also set for the September 14 Dynamite are the two semi-finals of the AEW World Championship Tournament of Champions, pitting Chris Jericho against Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley against Sammy Guevara.
