Tonight on NXT, Teagan Nox and Dakota Kai faced off against The Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. They came up a bit short in the match.
The match was really, really good. However, the after match antics may have been even more exciting.
Kai was getting treatment for the mist in her face. Out comes Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir. They quickly attack Teagan Nox.

Not long after, Rhea Ripley came out on the ramp. The ring cleared and Ripley started her slow walk down. However, Io Shirai attacked from out of nowhere.
We then got Bianca BelAir and Candice LeRae. We also got an incredible brawl between all the ladies.
Security made their way out and so did William Regal. Regal screamed for them to stop, but his real announcement would be much larger.
He just let one simple phrase speak volumes:
“WAR GAMES!!!!”
It’s official, we’re getting the first-ever women’s War Game match at NXT Takeover. It wasn’t announced who would be in the match.

On one side, there was Nox, Kai, Ripley, and LeRae. On the other side, there was BelAir, Shafir, Baszler, Duke, and Shirai. Traditionally, these matches have been 4 or 4.
Clearly, the good guys have 4. It’s possible Baszler will have to defend her title at Takeover. It’s possible they’ll do 5 on 5. Mia Yim, Toni Storm, or another wrestler could fill out the final spot.
Stay tuned to WrestleTalke for more developments from tonight’s NXT and this story.
Update: Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley are named captains for the match.
