Major Name Removed From WrestleMania 39 Graphic WWE

Vince McMahon’s name has been removed from a WrestleMania 39 graphic, following speculation about McMahon’s WWE return.

After announcing his retirement in July 2022, McMahon returned to the WWE board of directors in January. It was confirmed at this time that McMahon would be serving as the company’s executive chairman.

While it hasn’t been announced that McMahon is set to regain any creative power, a recent WrestleMania 39 advertisement fuelled speculation that McMahon will soon become the head of creative once again.

The Hollywood movie themed graphic featured various credits, and one in particular read “Directed by Vince McMahon”.

This has now been changed. According to the graphic, WrestleMania 39 is now being directed by ‘Selma Tinware’, which is an anagram of ‘WrestleMania’.

Obviously, this isn’t a legitimate movie poster for an actual production, but many fans and critics have been waiting to see when McMahon would get involved in creative since his return to WWE.

Triple H had previously stated that he and McMahon “may have discussions” about WWE creative, but Levesque makes the final decision on what happens.

At WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes.

The two stars met in the ring for a promo segment on the March 3 edition of SmackDown, a show which set a huge market record.
