Despite initial reports, multiple sources have now confirmed that the finish of the WrestleMania 35 main event went as planned, and was not a botch.
It was first thought that Ronda Rousey or Becky Lynch had accidentally held the pin for a three count, and that the match ended abruptly, but apparently not.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that the finish was designed to keep Rousey strong, as a surprise roll up makes the win look more fortunate than skilful.
SI has also reported that there are tentative discussions to have Ronda vs Becky at WrestleMania 36. Dave Meltzer has confirmed these talks, but says a date for the match has not been agreed upon.
Rousey is expected to take some time out of WWE, possibly in order to start a family, but these reports are unconfirmed. What we do know is that she suffered a broken hand in her match at WrestleMania, and will therefore need some time out to recover.
