Popular Ex-WWE Star To Make In-Ring Return After Years Away From The Ring WWE

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze is preparing to make his wrestling return, after two years away from the ring.

Prestige Wrestling has now announced that ‘Breeze’ will be in action at the September 1 Roseland 6 show, which will take place at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon.

Breeze’s opponent was not announced.

The popular star last wrestled on the June 15, 2021 edition of NXT, teaming with Dirty Dango (fka Fandango) to defeat Giovanni Vinci (Fabian Aichner) and Ludwig Kaiser (Marcel Barthel).

Breeze was let go by WWE shortly after, during the June 25 round of NXT cuts.

In November AEW star Shawn Spears indicated that Breeze considered himself retired from in-ring competition. Spears and Breeze notably run the Flatbacks wrestling school together in Apopka Florida.

Spears returned to WWE in 2022, appearing on The Bump and UpUpDownDown, as well as serving as a guest Performance Center coach.

On Sunday, NXT will hold its next premium live event, NXT Battleground 2023.

The card for NXT Battleground on May 28 is as follows:

NXT Championship – Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Bron Breakker

NXT Women’s Championship – Lyra Valkyria vs. Tiffany Stratton

Heritage Cup Championship – Noam Dar (c) vs. Dragon Lee

NXT Tag Team Championship – Mark Coffey & Wolfgang (c) vs. Brutus & Julius Creed

North American Championship – Wes Lee (c) vs. Joe Gacy vs. Tyler Bate

Last Man Standing – Dijak vs. Ilja Dragunov
