IMPACT Stars Call Attention To Disparity Among Fan Critique WWE/IMPACT

Several IMPACT stars are calling out a disparity among fan critiques of their recent high-stakes table spot off of a ladder.

With the upcoming WWE premium live event, Money in the Bank set to feature an epic ladder match between some of WWE’s best and brightest talent from both the male and female locker rooms, a continued conversation on Twitter regarding fan reception for big spots.

After an impressive showing at IMPACT Slammiversary, including a beautiful table spot off of a ladder featuring Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo during the Queen of the Mountain match, the online reaction continues to pour in and the competitors in the match are sounding off in response.

While Twitter critics have used harsh language to describe the spot, the people involved in the match by all accounts have no regrets regarding the expertly executed landing.

Jordynne Grace writing of Green and Purrazzo’s table spot:

“Men do things like this constantly to reactions of high praise. It’s not lost upon us how much more critical fans are when women do it – even when it is executed PERFECTLY.”

While in full motion looks horrifically death-defying, when slowed down or looked at in stills you can in fact see that the spot appeared to have gone off without a hitch.

While a fan speculated that Chelsea’s head hit the floor, she literally responded via Tweet saying, “No it didn’t.”

In another exchange, a “fan” wished Chelsea and Deonna well saying, “hope you’re ok” to which Green replied:

“We literally wrestled not 24 hours later. We’re fine. The same way every male wrestler who’s gone through tables was also fine.”

A new episode of IMPACT Wrestling featuring a match between Mia Yim and Chelsea Green with appearances by Deonna Purrazzo and Mickie James airs tonight on YouTube and AXS TV.
