Along with the Women’s Tag Team Championship and Universal Championship, there was a third title that changed hands at WrestleMania last night.
Mojo Rawley pinned R-Truth to begin his seventh reign with the 24/7 Title, ending Truth’s 35th reign after he had held the title since March 22 after ending the longest 24/7 Title reign ever by pinning Riddick Moss.
Rawley and WrestleMania 36 host Rob Gronkowski were up on the Performance Center’s elevated platform, when Truth stumbled up to them with his title.
He was complaining about how he’s always in danger of someone running up on him and taking his championship, and asked Rawley and Gronk if they would protect him.
In fact, the opposite happened. Gronk nailed Truth and tried to pin him, but was pulled off by Rawley who got the fall for himself.
With the second night of WrestleMania obviously coming up later today, we probably haven’t seen the last of the 24/7 Championship shenanigans this weekend.
