WWE 2K22 executive producer has announced his departure in search of “new adventures”.
Patrick Gilmore was brought on as the executive producer of WWE 2K22 and helped lead the direction of the video game. He led a very successful launch for the game following the poorly-received release of WWE 2K20.
Gilmore announced on social media that he is moving on from WWE 2K after just one game as executive producer.
He wrote the following:
Soon, I begin a new adventure. Working on WWE2K has been spectacular and fulfilling, thanks to the incredible #WWE2Kdev team, supportive leaders at Visual Concepts and 2K, and especially the amazing and passionate #WWE2K22 community. Thank you all! Now, my watch has ended.
It remains to be seen how next year’s game will fare after Gilmore’s departure, but it has been suggested that Cody Rhodes should be the cover star for WWE 2K23 after just missing out on this year’s game.
