It has been officially announced that the upcoming WWE 2K22 video game will release next year, ahead of WrestleMania 38.
On August 21, it was reported that WWE 2K22 had seemingly been delayed until 2022. During SummerSlam, that same night, a commercial for the game aired, revealing that fans won’t be able to get their hands on a copy until March next year.
The game was originally expected to be released during Q4 of 2021. The recent promo video featured clips of Roman Reigns, Ricochet, Bayley, Rhea Ripley and more:
A specific release date has yet to be announced. The previous report noted that it was likely that the game’s release would tie into marketing for WrestleMania 38, which takes place on April 3 in Dallas, Texas.
Earlier this month, it was noted that the current build of WWE 2K22 is “looking fantastic“.
