A SmackDown name has shared their thoughts on being included in the recently released WWE 2K26 video in multiple capacities.
The latest iteration of the long-running video game franchise was released earlier this month, with Wade Barrett featured as a playable character on the Legends roster.
Barrett isn’t just a playable character, however, also serving as a commentator, an on-screen role he has held on TV since his return in 2020.
In a recent video shared on the WWE Games Twitter account, fans got a chance to see Barrett call the action, along with comments from the former Intercontinental Champion, in which he stated:
“Recording for the 2K video game for WWE, I have done thousands upon thousands of lines.
“The most exciting part of commentating for the WWE 2K video game for me is the fact that finally, Bronson Reed’s Tsunami gets the iconic call that it deserves.
“It’s massive for me to get to commentate the greatest wrestler in history, Wade Barrett. The marriage of Wade Barrett commentary and Wade Barrett wrestling is perfection.
“As a wrestler, it was a massive thrill to be included in the WWE video game, so to actually achieve that twice in this second career now as a commentator was absolutely huge for me.”

Barrett’s inclusion in this year’s game marks his tenth video game appearance, with his first being WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011.
With WWE 2k26 now available on current generation consoles, the game currently holds a Metacritic rating of 79 on Xbox Series X, 80 on PS5 and 83 on Windows PC.
