A-Kid was a fixture in WWE NXT UK with his last match taking place on the now-defunct brand in April 2022.
Not only did the Spanish star compete in NXT UK, he competed in NXT itself with his last match there being a North American Championship Second Chance Qualifying Triple Threat against Cameron Grimes and Roderick Strong,
Since then, nothing has been seen of A-Kid, although Axiom did debut in July 2022 with some NXT stars noting the similarity between the both men.
Axiom has continued to deny any such similarities along with occasionally wondering where A-Kid got to.
Now, thanks to a post on A-Kid’s personal Twitter account, we’ve found out.
A-Kid recently confirmed his ‘retirement’ via his own Twitter account and shared a throwback to an NXT UK match, tweeting:
“Enjoying retirement, crazy to think this happened 4 years ago. Proudest moment of my career.”
The match in question was A-Kid beating Trent Seven to become the first-ever NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion in November 2020.
On the November 26 episode of WWE NXT, Ethan Page beat Axiom to qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge, as can be seen in the highlights below this news story
Currently teaming with Nathan Frazer, Axiom has gone on to hold the NXT Tag Team Championships.
