A current WWE name has been revealed as having a creative role in the newly acquired Mexican Lucha Libre promotion AAA.
News that WWE had acquired AAA emerged on April 19, 2025, with Triple H describing it as “a partnership that will benefit the entire world of sports-entertainment.”
With Worlds Collide also being announced for June 7, a current WWE name has been revealed as having a role in AAA.
According to Lucha Libre Online, Jeremy Borash will be involved in the creative side of AAA on behalf of WWE.
Borash has recently been on the commentary team for the WWE LFG series, alongside Vic Joseph, having also served in that role on 205 Live.
He currently serves as WWE Senior Director of Content & Development, having signed with the company in 2018.
Prior to joining WWE, Borash worked for TNA Wrestling and had a multitude of roles, including commentator, ring announcer and creative team member.
He was executive producer of TNA Wrestling’s British Boot Camp, a reality TV show that ran for two seasons and followed four professional wrestlers attempting to secure a TNA Wrestling contract.
According to Dave Meltzer, the deal between WWE and AAA had been “brewing for well over a year“.
It was recently reported that the acquisition of AAA is expected to be completed later in 2025.
