# AAA Backstage Changes Under WWE Update

Konnan has commented on backstage AAA changes following WWE’s acquisition of the Mexican promotion, revealing how his role has changed.

WWE announced its acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide during the WrestleMania 41 pre-show in April.

With a number of AAA shows having taken place under the WWE umbrella, Konnan has commented on his backstage role changing in an interview with [Denise Salcedo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGV6aRyyUiM).

Noting that a lot of his workload has been delegated to allow him to focus on writing, Konnan said:

*“Before I used to agent every match, I used to produce every match, I used to write the finishes for every match. Now I have help, now they have agents for every match. I don’t have to agent everything, I don’t have to produce everything, I don’t have to write everything.*

*“I was used to it, I’m a workaholic. I have no problem putting in 15-18 hours of work (a day). They’ve taken a lot off my plate, which helps me because I can just focus on writing.”*

When asked how he feels about these changes, Konnan responded:

*“I do feel naked because it was always ‘Oh, go to Konnan’, but the guys they have doing what I used to do, they’re top notch guys that know what they’re doing.”*

WWE and AAA will come together for another [Worlds Collide](https://www.wwe.com/event/worlds-collide-0) show on September 12.

This show will be headlined by an AAA Mega Championship match, with WWE’s Dominik Mysterio set to challenge for El Hijo Del Vikingo’s gold.
