Clarification has emerged on a match announced for WWE Worlds Collide, with a notable star confirming he will not be in action on the show.
Among matches announced on SmackDown for the September 12 special was a “8-man Lucha showcase” bout, with Nino Hamburguesa, Octagon Jr, La Parka and Microman taking on Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Lince Dorado and Abismo Negro Jr.
Interestingly, the graphic used a render of the original La Parka, leading many to believe that this match would feature the former WCW star.
The original La Parka – who currently wrestles as LA Park – has now addressed this, stating that he will not be wrestling at WWE Worlds Collide.
LA Park took to Twitter to note:
You already know how they always put me up there to confuse people, but it’s not me, well, the one in the image is me, but I’m not going to go.

Noting that he plans to wrestle in Mexico moving forward, rather than returning to a US-based promotion, he added in a later tweet:
That’s my Mickey. I prefer to fight for my Mexican people than to return to a large company in the United States. I’m staying here in Mexico.
The third star to wrestle under the name La Parka will be the one competing at Worlds Collide, with Brazo de Oro Jr introduced as the third La Parka in March.
LA Park, the original La Parka, notably wrestled for WCW from April 1998 to March 2000.
WWE announced its acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in April, with the two brands coming together for WWE & AAA Worlds Collide in June.
The September 12 Worlds Collide special will see WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio challenge for El Hijo Del Vikingo’s AAA Mega Championship.
