WWE star Jordynne Grace’s acting debut has been announced, with Grace to appear in a movie written and directed by an independent wrestler.
Grace revealed in September 2024 that she had been filming for a movie, sharing a photo with British independent wrestler Charles Crowley, real name Richard Summers-Calvert.
Variety has officially announced this project, with Summers-Calvert writing and directing “Welcome to Paradise.”
Jordynne Grace was listed as one of the stars attached to the movie, alongside British icons Bill Nighy and Matthew Horne, with Nighy providing voice work for the project.
Other names set to appear in the project include Georgina Bennett, Kirk Patterson, Togo Igawa, Tracey Wilkinson and the late Simon Fisher-Becker.
the movie follows a woman finds herself in a magical carnival with no memory of anything but her own name.
Variety shared the following synopsis for the project:
The story follows Lisa, who awakens on a mysterious beach with no memory. After meeting a creature who tells her she’s arrived at “The Carnival,” she discovers a vibrant venue populated by humans and magical beasts.
There she meets Harvey, another lost soul, as they attempt to uncover the truth about their pasts and find redemption — though everything comes with a price.
IMDb currently lists Grace as “Lisa (Jacked Wrestling Demon Form).”
The movie is currently in post-production, and is “eyeing a late 2025 delivery with major festival berths in its sights.”
Jordynne Grace is slated to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship at Evolution, the all-women’s WWE premium live event slated for July 13.
