WWE Adds Another Title Match To Backlash

WWE has added another championship match to this Sunday’s Backlash pay-per-view during tonight’s episode of Raw on the USA Network.

It was announced on Twitter before the show tonight that there would be a three-way to determine who would challenge Apollo Crews on Sunday for the United States Championship between Kevin Owens, Andrade and Angel Garza.

The match was a two-on-one affair with Andrade and Garza working together for a while, but eventually they got into a scuffle between themselves which resulted in them accidentally knocking down their manager Zelina Vega.

Their issue later played into the finish as Andrade sneaked in after a Kevin Owens Stunner to get the win pinning Garza. Crews beat Andrade to win the title on the May 25 episode of Raw.

The confirmed card for Backlash is now as follows:

• Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Bobby Lashley – WWE Championship
• Braun Strowman (c) vs. John Morrison & The Miz – Universal Championship
• Edge vs. Randy Orton
• Apollo Crews (c) vs. Andrade – United States Championship
• Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax – Raw Women’s Championship
• Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus
• Bayley & Sasha Banks (c) vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. The IIconics – Women’s Tag Team Championship
