WWE’s most dominant faction over the past seven years, The Shield, is synonymous with Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. However, occasionally due to injury WWE has been forced into adding an ‘honorary member’, as seen with Kurt Angle at TLC 2017 and Triple H at a live event a few weeks later.
With Dean Ambrose seemingly refusing to re-sign his contract and on his way out of the company, WWE is doing this again by advertising a six-man tag team match featuring the aforementioned Rollins and Reigns, as well as an ”honorary member”.
Per IW Nerd, at a Paris live event in May as part of WWE’s European Tour, Roman and Seth will be teaming with Braun Strowman to tag on the trio of Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin or Bobby Lashley.

The card is always subject to change, but if this does end up going ahead as currently advertised, it is unlikely that Strowman will fully replace Ambrose as a full-time Shield member. Perhaps WWE will just slot in any face to team with the remaining members of the stable based on storyline suitability, as is the case here with Braun.
If anything, this does indicate that Ambrose leaving is not a work and that the former WWE Champion is definitely leaving the company after WrestleMania 35.
