An AEW star has teased the possibility of a departing WWE star joining his faction, amid speculation about that star’s future.
Carlito confirmed he was departing WWE on June 1, following reports that WWE wouldn’t be renewing his contract.
With rumors swirling about what’s next for Carlito, a former WWE star in AEW made an interesting post regarding his future.
Shelton Benjamin shared a throwback photo to Instagram of him and Carlito in suits.
Dropping an intriguing tease, Benjamin captioned the photo:
Hey Briz, Nice suit. Hmmmmmm🤔
Of course, Benjamin’s Hurt Syndicate faction is known for dressing in smart suits to conduct “business.”
Carlito responded to this post with a single emoji, commenting:
🤔
Benjamin and Bobby Lashley currently hold the AEW Tag Team Championship, most recently defending the gold against Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara at Double or Nothing on May 25.
R-Truth has also announced his WWE departure, which many wrestlers and fans have taken to social media to react to.
Following fans chanting throughout Raw, CM Punk acknowledged “we want Truth” chants after Monday’s show went off the air, which you can read more about right here.
