WWE/AEW
Having made their AEW debut in April 2024, the current status of former WWE stars the Grizzled Young Veterans has now been revealed.
Zack Gibson & James Drake left WWE after their contracts expired in October 2023, after the pair had been denied their release earlier that year.
Returning to the independent wrestling scene, Grizzled Young Veterans have also gone on to appear in TNA Wrestling and AEW.
The April 27, 2024 episode of AEW Collision saw them make their debut against The Acclaimed, as can be seen below this news story.
A new update on Gibson & Drake’s future has now been revealed pertaining to AEW, courtesy of Sean Ross Sapp on a Fightful Select Q&A.
SRS said regarding Gibson and Drake’s AEW negotiations:
“Grizzled Young Veterans are the big ones. I know they were far apart on money”
No further details were provided on the talks between Grizzled Young Vets and AEW.
Discussed their time in WWE, Gibson reflected on their time as part of Schism stating that they were “just stuck in limbo” in an act that they didn’t “think was going anywhere.”
