WWE, AEW, IMPACT Wrestling Stars React To 2022 PWI 500 Rankings PWI

WWE, AEW and IMPACT Wrestling stars have reacted to the 2022 PWI 500 rankings.

On Wednesday, the annual Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranking of the best wrestlers was released with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns topped the list.

The evaluation period was between July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The criteria for PWI 500 ranking includes win-loss record, technical ability, influence on the sport, success against the highest grade of competition, success against the most diverse competition and activity.

After the rankings were released, various stars from WWE, AEW, IMPACT Wrestling and across the independent scene commented on it.

AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman, better known as MJF, tweeted:

@OfficialPWI hit the nail right on the head.

Great job gang!

Fellow AEW talent and Pinnacle member Cash Wheeler of FTR was accidentally left off the list and tweeted:

Ok @roderickstrong, there’s only one way to settle this. I want my spot back. I need argument leverage when I argue with the office.

Someone you might know from All Elite Wrestling, DDT Pro star Konosuke Takeshita tweeted:

I just knew about #PWI500 results. Last year I was ranked No.136 and this year I was able to improve my ranking to No.59. Thank you all for your support. I will strive to be in the top 20 next year.

Meanwhile, WWE star Sheamus commented:

..126th best Sports Entertainer but No.1 Professional Wrestler. #semantics

Former WWE star and current IMPACT Wrestling talent Matt Cardona received his highest ranking, finishing at #13 on the list.

Cardona tweeted:

I am honored to be ranked #13 in this year’s prestigious @OfficialPWI 500. I will represent this number all year with pride. (Sorry @OfficialTAZ…I love you) I’d like to thank my family, my beautiful wife, my fans, my dogs, and my cats! I love you all!!! #StillHere
