WWE & AEW Target Teases Big Move

WWE & AEW Target Teases Big Move WWE/AEW

Former NXT star EJ Nduka has now bid farewell to MLW, following interest expressed by both WWE and AEW.

It was reported at the beginning of the year that several companies, including WWE, were interested in signing Nduka.  Following this, sources confirmed that Nduka was a free agent, with his MLW contract expiring on January 1.

Following Nduka’s AEW debut at the January 28 Dark taping, the Wrestling Observer reported that he was offered a contract by AEW.

On the March 14 episode of MLW Underground, Nduka and Calvin Tankman were defeated by Juicy Finau & Lance Anoa’i for the MLW Tag Team Championship.

Nduka has now taken to Twitter to thank MLW and the promotion’s fans, writing:

Thank you @MLW. It’s been one crazy ride.

& Thank you all for supporting me.

… THE JUDGE IS JUST GETTING STARTED 👨🏾‍⚖️⚡️⚡️

See you soon.

Nduka’s tweet also included a video of him diving to the ringside area, with the cryptic caption ‘I’m coming’.

This bout was notably taped on January 7, shortly after Nduka’s MLW contract expired.

As of March 4, Nduka reportedly hadn’t signed with WWE or AEW, and was ‘evaluating his options‘. Nduka has been in contact with WWE, although it is currently unclear how far talks have gone between Nduka and WWE.

Nduka signed with WWE in 2018 and only wrestled a handful of house show matches before he was let go by the company in early 2021.

We will continue to provide updates on EJ Nduka as they become available.
