A top WWE star has confirmed that they are involved in the creative process for an as-yet-unannounced animated movie.
Mere weeks after Roman Reigns and CM Punk featured in voice roles for Zootopia 2, AJ Lee has revealed that she is involved in a separate animated project.
Speaking on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, AJ Lee gave a hint about her involvement while sharing her love of a Japanese studio’s work, saying:
“Another example of manifestation, I love anime so much and one of my favourite companies growing up was Toei, they did Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z and these things that raised me. So we’re writing a film for Toei Animation, and I think that’s all I can say.
“Such a dream come true, being in their office and seeing Dragon Ball Z figures everywhere.”

Toei Animation was founded in 1948, with its most recent project being the Digimon Beatbreak animated television series.
On Toei Animation’s upcoming slate is an adaptation of the South Korean manhwa Gosu, which will see Toei Animation co-produce alongside Studio Mir and Studio N.
The real-life AJ Mendez runs Scrappy Heart Productions alongside Aimee Garcia, with the pair having written Dungeons & Dragons: At the Spine of the World for IDW Publishing in 2021, and Day of the Dead Girl for Magma Comix in October of last year.
