WWE SmackDown star AJ Styles hasn’t been seen on television since September 1, 2023, but his return may be soon.
On the September 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, Styles was attacked backstage taking him out of a tag team match with John Cena at WWE Fastlane.
The attack came at the hands of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso and would lead to LA Knight teaming with Cena to face the Bloodline members at the October 7 Premium Live Event.
Plans for AJ Styles to return on November 10 at SmackDown were also reportedly scrapped.
With AJ Styles having not returned, Dave Meltzer has shed some light on the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“AJ Styles is gonna be back on Friday. Or he’s supposed to be back on Friday – he was supposed to be back a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t back. But that’s the plan right now.”
