Retired WWE star AJ Styles has recently been spotted with an AEW name, who described the experience as ‘unreal’.
While AJ Styles may have competed in his last WWE match, he has recently revealed that he has a new role in the company, focused on talent development.
Outside of WWE, however, Styles recently took part in a training session also attended by AEW star and former boxer Anthony Ogogo.
Ogogo shared a photo alongside Styles on Twitter, along with his thoughts on the experience with the WWE star, posting:
“Last night’s training session with AJ Styles. Unreal.
“As a kid, I had one dream… to compete at the Olympic Games. I chased it, lived it, and came home with a medal. Childhood dream ✔️
“What I never imagined was getting to live a second dream. Becoming a professional wrestler and learning from the very people I grew up watching.
“Every week I train with legends like Billy Gunn, and nights like this getting extra reps and knowledge from someone like AJ Styles are special.
“Grateful for the journey. Still learning. Still sharpening the tools. Still chasing greatness.
“Dreams evolve… but the work never stops 💪🏽.”
Ogogo won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics in London, England, competing in the middleweight boxing category.
Following his retirement from professional boxing, Ogogo signed with AEW in October 2019, last competing under the Tony Khan banner at the November 15, 2025 Ring of Honor taping.
A member of Shane Taylor Promotions, Ogogo has been registered blind since 2017, with his boxing retirement coming around two years later.
Ogogo last competed in AEW at All In London on the Zero Hour show back in August 2024, entering the sixteen-man tag team match, teaming with Ariya Daivari, The Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds), Jay Lethal, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), and Satnam Singh, losing to Action Andretti, Kip Sabian, Kyle Fletcher, Lio Rush, Rocky Romero, Tommy Billington, and Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) at Wembley Stadium.
