WWE star Akira Tozawa, who was in action on last night’s November 14 edition of Raw, has caused a bit of a stir on social media.
If you forget about all the 24/7 Championship tomfoolery, which WWE seems to be doing, last night was the first time in AAAAAGES that we’d seen Tozawa have an actual match on TV (outside of Main Event, which about seven people watch).
And, to no real surprise, Tozawa looked great in his match against Baron Corbin and left a lot of people hoping we’ll get to see a lot more of him going forward.
Well, after his match, Tozawa took to social media with a somewhat cryptic post, as he shared an image of his ninja outfit ring attire on the ground, with the caption “Thank you”.
Obviously this is open to interpretation, but the best bet would probably just be that Tozawa will be getting rid of said ninja outfit and returning back to more traditional ring attire as he moves on with his career, again, away from the 24/7 nonsense.
Some fans are of course taking it as something more serious and a bigger deal than that, but there’s not really any reason we know of for that to be the case. We’ll let you know if it turns out there actually is more to the story.
Tozawa was still involved in some comedy stuff on Raw as his match with Corbin was set up by him beating Corbin and JBL at poker after pretending he couldn’t play, but his outing in the ring showed he is capable of more than just comedy, and it would be great to see more going forward.
