Former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and current WWE SmackDown star Angel has revealed that he has signed a new contract.
Angel, formerly Angel Garza, signed his first WWE contract in April 2019 beginning his NXT run in June of that year in the Breakout Tournament.
In a recent Facebook Live video, he would reveal that he’s sticking around in WWE, saying:
“No, I have not left. In fact, I just re-signed for another three years.
“It was an offer I straight-up could not reject, so there is that.”
The Facebook Live video was posted on July 2.
Angel and his Los Lotharios teammate Berto are currently members of Legado Del Fantasma along with Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez.
Prior to joining the group, Angel and Berto spent time competing on WWE NXT, and have recently made several appearances back on the brand.
Following a recent appearance on WWE NXT, Angel opened up about the backstage atmosphere, crowd and the superstars who want “to be there forever.”
