UPDATE: Corey Graves has teased having ‘a lot to say’ on this week’s NXT episode, click here to read more.
Corey Graves has seemingly reacted to the recent WWE commentary changes following Raw’s move to Netflix at the start of the year.
Prior to the Netflix move, Graves was on the SmackDown commentary team with Michael Cole, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett partnered up on Raw, and Vic Joseph and Booker T called NXT.
However, with the Netflix shake-up and the return of Pat McAfee, the Raw team was changed to Cole and McAfee while Tessitore and Barrett were moved to SmackDown as a pair.
This left Graves as the main roster odd man out, and he ended up joining the NXT commentary team last week to form a trio with Vic Joseph and Booker T.
Graves has now taken to social media to seemingly react to the situation, writing:
Imagine chasing your dream.
Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream.
Then you dedicate your life to something ‘dream adjacent’ and being pretty f**king awesome at it.
And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.
Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.
Last week’s NXT was the New Year’s Evil special, but reports did indicate that Graves was expected to stay on the brand going forward, rather than it being a one-off.
It’s unknown at this point if there are plans to move Graves back to WWE Raw if McAfee has any more outside projects in the future that lead to him taking time away.
We’ll keep you posted with any updates.
