WWE Announcer Welcomes First Child WWE

A WWE announcer has welcomed a child into the world, sharing the joyful news on social media which explains their recent absence.

While Mike Rome didn’t appear on WWE NXT as ring announcer this week or for No Mercy, it seems that there was a very good reason he was unavailable.

The birth of a brand new baby in the family!

Taking to Instagram to share a cute photo of him holding the newborn writing:

“Salem James Romero

“9/5/24

“7 pounds 7 ounces

“20 and a half inches of awesome ❤️”

Congratulations to Mike Rome and his family from everyone at WrestleTalk.

Now that Rome’s joyous reason for being absent from this week’s NXT has been revealed, it explains why Alicia Taylor ended up pulling quadruple duty.

Taylor served as ring announcer for all four of NXT No Mercy, WWE Raw, NXT and SmackDown this week on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Samantha Irvin for her part served as the announcer for WWE’s recent European shows including the premium live event WWE Bash in Berlin and the SmackDown prior to that.
