It is never too late to announce a main event. That’s not true at all but regardless WWE has finally announced the main event for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
As they tweeted earlier today, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will team with Jey Uso to take on Kevin Owens and Otis tonight. Here is the tweet:
BREAKING: #UniversalChampion @WWERomanReigns will team with Jey @WWEUsos to take on @FightOwensFight and @otiswwe TONIGHT on #SmackDown!

This will continue the build to WWE’s TLC pay per view. While it has not been officially announced by WWE, the current direction has implied that Reigns will defend his title against Owens at the show.
Reigns was recently successful in his match against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series. Meanwhile, Kevin Owens, Otis and Jey Uso were all on Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. Their team did not fare as well as they got swept by Team Raw.
So far this main event tag team match is the only thing announced for tonight’s show. We will report any other matches and segments that are announced before the beginning of the show.
